On June 24, a meeting of the State Examination Committee was held at the Department of Geotechnics and Transport Communications at Brest State Technical University. Five master's students from the People's Republic of China, graduates of Hohhot Polytechnic University, defended their master's dissertations in specialty 7-06-0732-01 "Construction" with a focus on "Highways."
Gao Feng, Gao Yuan, Sun Liwei, Tian Yue, and Cen Meng appeared before a rigorous jury. Professor Petr Vladimirovich Shvedovsky, PhD in Engineering, served as the group's supervisor.
The topics of the presented works were highly relevant to China's road construction industry. The research covered a wide range of topics: from modern methods of road maintenance and rehabilitation to the development of innovative solutions for optimizing the materials and technologies used. The committee members highly praised the breadth of coverage and depth of analysis of all the problems posed to the master's students.
Following their defense, the State Examination Committee unanimously decided to award all five foreign specialists their master's degrees. The graduates' grades confirm the high level of their preparation and the significance of their research.
