Due to the increase in the number of registered crimes related to cybersecurity, a dialogue platform was held at Brest State Technical University. It was attended by the head of the department for ideological and educational work of BrSTU Denis Viktorovich Budnik and the senior operative officer of the department for combating cybercrime of the criminal police of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Pervomaisky District Administration of Minsk, senior police lieutenant Nazar Gennadievich Bukshta.
The topic of the meeting was "Cybercrime: Modern Threats". During his speech, Nazar Gennadievich demonstrated a fascinating presentation on the topic of cybercrime. He dwelt in detail on the classification and types of these crimes, and also gave examples such as phishing, vishing, pranks and theft of money from bank cards. In conclusion, he shared effective ways to protect against cyberattacks.
At the end of the meeting, Nazar Gennadievich called on students to be attentive and noted the importance of knowing the basic rules for using the global Internet.
