Today, a working meeting was held at the Sukhoi Gomel State Technical University between representatives of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Belarus, rectors of the country's leading technical universities, the leadership of vocational colleges, and directors of large Belarusian industrial enterprises.
Among the event's honored guests were Minister of Education of Belarus Andrei Ivanovich Ivanets and First Deputy Minister of Industry Andrei Vasilyevich Konyushko.
Key areas of the work program included:
promoting engineering professions and creating specialized engineering classes,
establishing competence centers that provide high-quality resources for the educational process,
strengthening the practical focus of education through the implementation of a dual training system, opening department branches, and engaging experienced professional practitioners in teaching,
improving targeted student recruitment mechanisms and increasing the efficiency of recruiting future engineers,
expanding partnership formats between educational institutions and industries, including the work of boards of trustees, organizing student work brigades, and implementing joint projects.
Andrey Nikolaevich Parfievich, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, spoke at the meeting on behalf of Brest State Technical University.
The meeting concluded with a tour of the educational and production complex of the ZLiN enterprise, where guests were able to see a successful example of integrating educational activities and industrial experience.
