Brest State Technical University hosted the significant medical campaign "Main Resource: Health!", timed to coincide with the Year of Belarusian Women in the Republic of Belarus. The event brought together students, university staff, and experts, providing a platform for raising awareness about key aspects of women's health and participating in scientific research.
As part of the campaign, participants developed and presented information leaflets on reproductive health. The materials covered such important topics as family planning, prevention and early detection of reproductive system diseases, and recommendations for a healthy lifestyle.
These information leaflets will be a useful tool for anyone who cares about their health and strives for a conscious approach to women's well-being.
The campaign included not only educational but also research components. Students and staff members from Brest State Technical University participated in a study organized by the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Pediatric Oncology, Hematology, and Immunology.
The study aimed to study the carrier frequency of founder-effect mutations in the genes of primary immunodeficiencies. Such mutations play a key role in understanding genetic risk factors, as well as in organizing early diagnosis and medical support for susceptible groups.
Participation in the study generated keen interest among the university's young women. Many expressed a desire to support efforts to study hereditary immune disorders, highlighting the importance of such initiatives in fostering a culture of health care and scientific education.
